Everyday Confetti by Karen Ehman and Glynnis Whitwer

Updated 1/21/2014 7:15 PM – Congratulations to our winner — Noreen Messmer – submitted comment on 1/17/14!

I am super excited about this new book EVERYDAY CONFETTI written by two friends — Karen Ehman and Glynnis Whitwer. I admire both of these women, each for their own unique reasons. This book they co-authored together is just icing on the admiration cupcake!

Really, they had me at the title — Everyday Confetti!! I would love to make everyday a little special for my family. This book shares very do-able and fun ideas to make everyday extraordinary for those you love. It also contains easy and inspired ideas for birthdays, milestones and holiday celebrations! Here is how Karen and Glynnis put it:

“The calendar is filled with special occasions and holidays that certainly call for a little confetti. But what about ordinary days? Those seemingly routine days when the calendar doesn’t indicate an occasion to buy a card, bake a cake or toss some confetti? By bringing a little confetti to an otherwise ordinary day, we can make it a celebration. A celebration of life, of each other, and, most importantly, of God’s goodness.

Our desire with this book is to spark your creativity and provide you with ideas for planning and implementing wonderful holiday and holy day celebrations with your loved ones. But we don’t want to stop there. We hope that with a little ingenuity and a slight shift in your spiritual perspective, you will learn to toss a little confetti into the everyday too — to be on the lookout for days and ways to make the ordinary extraordinary.”Β – Karen and Glynnis

Everyday Confetti is my newest favorite read! Karen and Glynnis speak part of my heart, and I love the ideas and recipes inside the pages of the book! I am already planning on giving this book as gifts with a package of confetti!!! I am honored to have two contributions in the book on pages 35 and 53. I hope you will take a look!

And I would like to do the same for one of you visiting here!! Just leave a comment, including your contact information, and you will be entered to win Everyday Confetti and a supply of confetti!!!

  43. I’d love to win a copy of it too. As many of us probably, I work full time with frequent OT, as much as I’d love to open my place for guests once I start thinking what to cook (and I am a very beginner level at it too πŸ™ ), I need to clean, what would be the entertaining program- that just drains energy out of me just at the thought-level of initial idea. So I am always on the looking of nifty ideas that would help me be more ‘welcoming’ at my place.

  44. Crystal Manteuffel says

As a fairly new wife (2 1/2 years) I have struggled finding ways to entertain in my home. Hospitality does not come naturally for me but I want to be more inviting by having family and friends over to connect with, especially those far from Christ. Having examples and ideas on doing this will definitely point me in the right direction and I think “Everyday Confetti” would be a great resource.
    Crystal M.

  47. Gidget Leverty says

I would love to read this book. I’m always looking for ways to put happiness into a ordinary day. Where I work at it’s usually gloom and negative vibes so anything to help turn that around. Thank you for this offer…

  48. With God, everyday is special! I love the idea of celebrating in a tangible way when it’s just an ordinary day that no one else is celebrating. When my children were young, they wanted to celebrate our dog, Spot’s, birthday in a big way. So we did. We had special treats for Spot and cake and ice cream for us. Sometimes we would invite our best friends over for the celebration. They really seemed to enjoy it, even though we all had a good laugh about it. Incredibly, Spot lived to be 21!
After renting a house for nearly 10 years, we were able to buy our own home and we were so elated that we celebrated the first through fifth anniversary on the day of moving into our new home. I always made cheesecake and topped it with strawberries because I had a strawberry-themed kitchen. We invited our best friends to share in our joy, and they loved the celebration which took place in the snowy and cold month of February. After the fifth year, our schedules seemed to be too busy with school events and volunteer activities so we dropped it, but we cherish the fond memories.

  49. Ruth Orozco says

I love the idea of finding joy in little things. I do try to incorporate mini-celebrations, but am often too exhausted to even think of an idea.
This book sounds perfect, and…..send on the confetti–we have a good vacuum.

  50. Anything these two authors have their hands in turns out great – would love to receive this book.

  51. Michelle D. says

I love celebrating special events and achievements. Sometimes though, that’s all I’ve got. I realize that it’s my job to be the cheerleader for my family and continue to uplift them. This would be a blessing to me as I could bless others!

  52. I have been wanting to get this book!!!

  55. Alicia Westerman says

I have three boys and I am always looking for ways to make everyday special. They grow up so fast and the little things make a huge difference.

  56. I’d be excited to read this book. At the beginning of this year, my husband and I have decided to celebrate things, big and small, and so I’m keeping a journal of those things that call for a celebration–a thank offering to God. So, far, it’s helped our eyes to be open to His gifts to us, something that used to just go by without a mention. Now, we stop and thank him together!

  57. I would love this book. I think it would be very beneficial to me and my 13 year old daughter. We need some fun times. My husband of almost 20 years passed away unexpectedly about 4 months ago so we are trying to regroup. We were a very close family so it is hard all of a sudden being the mother and the father figure in the home.

  58. I need some fresh ideas. I want to make family time for fun time! This seems like the perfect book for me.
